Using Outlook 2010 32 bit...?
Using Outlook 2010 32 bit...?
Use the export and reimport to be sure as suggested in my 1st post

I tried your 1st post, but it simply re-imports all the items...Afraid software is required.

and this is to be expected as it compares what is against what needs to be imported.
After the import you could look at organising with a view to deleting:

Any solid suggestions please - i am looking for something that you know works.
There's a bunch of missing information that makes it difficult to really offer a solution.
Are you in a domain environment which has a shared contacts database?
If you exported your contacts, did you oppen the CSV file in Excel to inspect it?
And, if you did, were there any duplicates?
or,
from a different tact, do you have multiple PST files open? ( If you do, you will see the contacts within each PST! )

Is there a possibility to find a Outlook 2007 where you can create the affect user Outlook profile and Install ODIR and fix the duplication issues ..... i have used ODIR and is a perfect tool

Duplicate contacts are usually the result of importing two PST's with almost identical contacts; but, here is a fast way to view and sort them by the creation date which would let you select then delete them in Outlook at one fell swoop: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2700/outlook_how_to_delete_duplicated_contacts/

Did you try using the Date Modified column?
Or, as Rancy suggested, ODIR is a nice (free) tool: http://www.vaita.com/ODIR.asp
