How to reinstall the operating system of a server windows 2012?

HI

we have a Dell PowerEdge T410 server with windows server 2012 essentials, but that operating system was installed by mistake, we need to reinstall windows server standard 2012, so we have the following situation:

1. Iis there any way to update from essentials version to standard one without making a clean installation?

2. Considering that the server uses RAID, will be necessary set up again RAID configurations?

2- you don't need to if you upgrade .

1. No. (Well you could overwrite on top, but you probably want to blow it all away just to save disk space and eliminate files and DLLs that you don't need). Best practice is to blow it away.

In order to make the clean installation do I need to use the Dell Utility Disc or should be directly from the MS Windows Server DVD ?

The RAID configuration was made initially by the Dell Utility Disc.

You can install directly from the OS media (although, depending on your RAID controller, you may need to load the driver for the RAID controller - which controller do you have?).

If you want to use the installation utility from Dell, you need to download the very latest version, as the one that came with the server likely doesn't work with 2012 (you need version 7.2 of SBUU/SMTD).

Is that what Dell calls "Drivers for OS Deployment"?
I´ve found 7.2.0.5, A00 version using my Service Tag Inside Drivers and downloads section.
