Updating patchers and service packs Crystal Reports Server XI to

I have a server that needs updating to a later patch or service pack. The problem Business Objects put out a version (seen below image 1) that the version has a problem with the Daylight Savings Time switch. Without the update a report scheduled on this CRS machine creates a report instance every minute even if the user scheduled the report every hour or every day. It exponentially creates instances that shuts the server down. So I need the patch and or Service Pack. I downloaded some SPs (see image2) but I am not sure it is the right ones or how to update. Can anyone give me update instructions or identify which SPs I need. I do not know if I have the right ones or not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just uninstalled my CRS 2008 a couple of weeks ago in favor of CRS 2011, but it looks like you're on either a base build or SP0.  You'll be able to tell for sure by looking at your list of installed programs.

Regarding service packs, they're not inclusive unless you install what's known as a "full build" (Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 SP5 Full build would be a clean install that includes all content up to and including SP5 , for example).  If you're patching up, then you need to install every service pack manually up to the one you need for the particular feature or fix.  So, if you're on SP1 and need to get to SP5, then you'll need to install SP2, SP3, SP4 then SP5.

Please note, this is complicated if you have any other associated products installed on the same machine.  If, for example, you have Crystal Reports 2008 V1 installed, you'll need to patch it up to the same level first, then patch up Crystal Reports Server 20008 V1.  That's because it's a requirement that all products be at the same version level.  You'll also need to patch up Crystal and other products on your development machines.  If you do have multiple products installed on the server, they need to be patched up before Crystal Reports Server is.

ASKER

I contacted a suposed SAP specialist Here is what I have under the Control Panel in windows see the image below.

Here is what the expert said
"You will need an S-User ID to enter into the SAP Service Marketplace and download the SP5 PATCH (not the full build).
The SP5 patch includes all previous SPs and only needs one installation (per servernode)."

One thing that would really help is instructions on how best to install it.

another thing is it seems that SAP almost has miixed the naming of Enterprise and Crystal Server....again the confustion. The help about shows Enterprise and the Control Panel shows Crystal Server.....how confusing.
I appreciate your help Rhinok.....very much.
