Outlook sending to the wrong recipient

We have a user who has sent an external email to a particular person however; that person did not receive the email as it was delivered to somebody else in the senders address book (also external).

The person who sent the message has sent different messages out to different people but when the message goes astray, it is always the same person who receives the email in error.

This occurs infrequently and the sender has made sure that the email is addressed correctly.

no bounce backs, just the wrong recipient informing the sender that they have had an email that should have gone to somebody else.

The email addresses are all valid as the sender had been communicating witht he person who is now getting the messages in error.
