Rules on driving with do-nut type spare tire?

My tire went flat and the spare is the do-nut type.
At what speeds can this car be driven with this spare on the car?

You may have accepted the wrong answers as the correct anwser as it depends on you car and the so called donut tyre.

"Toyota does not want Priuses driving with a donut as a front tire. You are not supposed to mount it in front. The car is intelligent enough to sense that you did and implement a governor which would not let me drive faster than 30mph. I would press the accelerator and nothing would happen...but, the car would keep going at 30mph."

E-Z-D said 55 mph and 50 miles
BigPapa said 55 mph and 70 miles.
Cashpanda said 55 mph and 50 miles.

The consensus was 55 mph.
The least miles driven on such a tire, would seem to be the safest. Thus the first 55 mph and the first 50 miles was accepted.

Those were only those 3 comments to choose from.
Thus I chose the one with the safest recommendations, 55 mph and 50 miles, not 70 miles.
If your spare is old then those recommendations are very unsafe.

I believe from your previous questions that you have a not so new car?

Googled info. is generally not consistant to actual conditions...if your spare tyre (tire) is new then it will last for an undefined period depending on how long the tread depth lasts...but if it is old / in bad condition it may fail after only a few miles...the condition of your spare cannot be determined from non hands on checks.
