How to take backup through Veeam?

I Am just running now the backup of one virtual machine which is SCE which I know if there is any disaster through Vaaem live backup I can able to reinstall the SCE 2010 and other software as well. Just want to know that can I run backup job at any time of exchange server or other serves or do I need to stop any service on the particular server before taking backup.I already had been to the links provided by you.The reason behind asking you this question is I have a cluster exchange server named as node1 and node2 and the storage for the mailbox is through hp eva storage. The time when I run backup of exchange node1 do I have to stop the cluster service or any other service or not.

its working native with API of hypervisor it don't need agents software and downtime it backups on the fly. It use API and see VHD disks on storage and its using reduplication for same data.

So no DOWNTIME or STOPing anything is need and even the load of network is ok.

If anything fails you can easy run backupted VM from backup in minutes and it will be working or restore it directly tu HOST.

if you start using it and have buy some version instal free ONE motnitoring tool if you read about it and you like it. It have special module as dashbord for CEO or other managment they like it and its read onl :)

vbm and vbk is the file extension for the backup. Is there any in build tool to convert it to vhd?

One more question regarding license. I have downloaded Veeam backup and replication free license for one month. After one month it will be expire. So what are the features which will be unavailable after one month. In the veeam download page there are two veeam backup software one is Veeam Backup & Replication for VMware and Hyper-V and the other is Veeam Backup Free Edition for VMware and Hyper-V. What is difference between those two? I have downloaded both of them and the download size seems same. But have run the installation for the Veeam Backup & Replication for VMware and Hyper-V and not the Veeam Backup Free Edition for VMware and Hyper-V.

after day sw stop working. Free licens contain exchange explorer that alows zou to browse and export exchange mailboxes form archive or live to pst and other usefull things what i love becouse normal price of that sw in comaptitors is 200$.

but free version of veeam alows just export macine from host to zip file no restor or other functions and you must to have it instaled the full version will not change to free.

After expiration you need uninstal Fulll version (it stop working) and instal free version.
