Attachment size limit with Exchange 2010 ActiveSync
We are migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. We use Microsoft ISA for iPad users to access corporate email on the Exchange servers. Users that have been moved to Exchange 2010 can no longer open attachments larger than 10MB on their iPad. Error mesage on iPad is "Cannot Download Attachment".
Check for this limit in Exchange Management Console --> Organization Configuration --> Client Access --> Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies --> Sync Settings --> Maximum Attachment Size

Thanks for the fast response.
Maximum attachment size is set to 30000 for ActiveSync mailbox Policy, Hub Transport Send Connector and Hub Transport Receive Connector.

If so try restarting the Services or the server as it might still be working through Cache

Reboot didn't help.
After further research we found on the Exchange 2010 server - IIS - Sites - Default Web Site - Microsoft-Server-ActiveSyn c - MaxDocumentDataSize and changed the default from 10MB to 30MB.
Thanks

I know this is an old post, but we were having trouble with iOS 7 devices not being able to send large attachments via email on Exchange 2010. We also had to change MaxRequestLength in the web.config for ActiveSync to a larger number. In our case 20480. iOS 7.04 devices can now email large attachments.
