Outlook 2010 error: The server is unavailable

Hi,

I have a Windows 2008 32-bit Standard edition server that has Office 2010 installed.
Since yesterday users cannot open Outlook 2010 on this server, me included.

When trying to launch Outlook 2010 you immediately get an error that reads " The server is unavailable" Then you have the three options of Retry, Work Offline and Cancel.

Retry doesn't work and you cannot work offline either. This only happens on this server.
I have used other servers that are the same and Outlook works fine. I have tested this with a few users and get the same result.

All the mailboxes are on Exchange 2010. I have tried diabing IPV6 as this I know can cause connectivity issues for applications but still no joy.

There is nothing I can see in the Event Logs that give me even a clue as to what it happening.

Any help would be much appreicated.

Cheers

Hi Sushil84,

First of all thanks for your response.

I should of made it more clear, we are using Terminal Servers. This is what I mean when I said Windows 2008 32-bit standard edition server.

Exchange 2010 is on a Windows 2008R2 Standard 64-bit server

I have used the same mailboxes on other Terminal Server's, both 32 and 64bit and Outlook 2010 opens fine. It is just on one Terminal Server they will not open on.

I have tried to reinstall Office and this didn't work either.

Cheers

Thanks for the link but this also happens when I logon to the server via the console and not through RDP. So I don't think this would really solve my issue. It is a virtual machine as well by the way.
