Anyone gotten Backup Exec 2012 to install & 'work' on Server 2012 Standard?

Hi Folks - Looking for some help here in seeing if anyone has gotten Backup Exec 2012 (media server) to install and work on Microsoft Server 2012?  I just saw from Symantec tech note that Server 2012 is not supported on any curent Backup Exec platform.  Are you kidding me Symantec?  How am I supposed to backup my 2012 servers?
Being that most tech folks have to be creative at times to get stuff to work, I'm curious if anyone has found a way to get Backup Exec 2012 (or older version) to install and create backup to disk backups on a Windows 2012 server?  Yes, I'm looking for a work around to get Backup Exec to work. All we have to backup is a bunch of file shares, so nothing complicated!

The timeframe I'm hearing for a BETA version that supports Server 2012 is May. !

The installation of the version with SP2 has the check.

The installation of the built-in SQL express might go wrong.

Here is how I always do it:

- install SQL Express 2008 R2 (the "with tools" edition). Everything default except the authentication. Be sure to select mixed mode and set the sa password to something non-blank. Enable the sql server browser service and start it.

- download and install the BE2012 SP1 version. In the choose SQl server step, choose the SQL express you just installed.

I've used it for more than a year without any problems.
