how do I speed up youtube video playback?
I have to watch several youtube videos and they are too slow. How can I speed up playback?
There are links all over saying to opt into the html5 beta. I did that on both browsers (chrome and fire fox) and these videos aren't supported. I don't mind downloading them first. I just need to watch them at 1.5 to 2x speed.

You can't from the web interface you need 3rd party software and a local copy of the video.
