windows 8 with outlook 2010 not receiving emails

Since the recent upgrade to Windows 8, from Windows XP Pro service pack three, I have had difficulties with my Outlook 2010 product. When initially set up in the administrator account it works fine. When I go to the nonadministrative user account, e-mail shows incoming mail only up to a certain point and refuses to update further. Once again, the administrative account registers the e-mail received as up-to-date. Just informationally, the upgrade to win eight was done as an install which of course did not update the applications, but using a product from LapLink, called PC mover upgrade assistant which seems to have successfully moved the products, using the Windows.old image to extract all of the applications that ran under Windows XP, to now work on Windows 8. I don't think that's the problem, but I felt that I should mention it anyway. Any help you can render will be appreciated. Thanks.

Also suggest that you use "Microsoft Fix It" to uninstall Office 2010 (in case you decide to uninstall it first as suggested by "... Thinkpads_User"):

The repair did the trick and Outlook 2010 is now available to both accounts. Fast and easy. Good job. Thanks.
@mzimerman - You are most welcome and I am happy the repair did the trick in this case.
