SQL Express 2012 on Windows XP
Hi Guys
I just implemented a Windows Server 2012 Standard. I have an application on there that needs SQL Express, as far as I could tell I can only install SQL Express 2012 which I did.
All my users also need to run SQL Express, the client instance does a remote sync with the master installation on the server. I have since found out that SQL Express 2012 will not run on XP systems, however some of the users are still running Windows XP…. What are my options here? When I try an install on an XP system I get an error stating that the operating system does not meet minimum requirements for SQL server.
SQL is one of my weak points, from what I understand the server and clients must be running the same version?
