VBA and Windows Explorer

Dear Experts,

I am writing a piece of VBA code for my database, and am not sure how to do this.
This is what I would like to do.
When I click on a button, it opens a designated image folder.
When I double-click on a file, it does not open it, but only picks up the file name, which I will retrive and use to put into my database after adding a path.
I can do this  if I create a form, but if I want to use Window Explorer, I am lost.
Please advise.
