Raising domain functional level - considerations
Hi All,
I want to create a trust between two domains. Both are the only domains in a forest. and are currently both running at windows 2000 domain functional level. I understand that I need to raise them both to 2003 in order to create the trust. Domain controllers on both domains are all atleast server 2003. Is there anything else I need to consider when raising the forest and domain levels?

Is that slightly different to my question. Im not upgrading 2000 domain to 2003, im just raising the domain functional level?
No you do not need to consider any thing except lagacy operating systems like windows NT etc but if this is not the case then go on.
Raise the domain first and if you have multiples DCs allow it to replicate.
If you have multiple domains raise them all first before raising the forest.
Its a painless operation.
