MS Server 2008 R2 License
We are currently in the process of setting up our development environment that has NO CONNECTIVITY to the internet at all. The basic set up was done before I got here and some things were overlooked (AV server, Update Server, etc).
Now, as I go into my servers, I'm noticing that they are all displaying 'This copy is not genuine', which means they didn't set up a KMS.
I bring this to their attention and I'm getting the run around, but yet they want me to release the servers to our programmers and developers so that they can start testing their applications and whatnot.
My question is... what impact will this lack of proper licensing have on the functionality of the servers? Only my DC seems to be licensed. I have looked all over TechNet, etc and I can't seem to find the answer to this. Does anyone here know?
