Exchange 2003 SBS to Exchange 2013
I wanted to move the Exchange 2003 SBS to Exchange 2013 but am not finding any migration path according to MS. Looks like I have to either Exmerge the Mailboxes from the 2003 and go to the new server or I have to migrate twice; once from WIn2k8/Exchange2010, then Win2k12 and Excha2013.
Most everyone is saying stick with Exchange 2010 but there are errors when installing Exchange 2010 on a Windows server 2012 machine. The install check fails with the
"Install Windowscomponenent "AdminTools" error and the usual solution is install on Win2k8.
I have a spare piece of hardware which might run WIn2k8 but maybe not the Exchange2k10. That is all I have.
Any suggestions are welcome.

You are using Exchange 2010 SP3 to install on to Windows 2012? That is the only version that is supported?
Make sure that you have all of the prerequisties for the installation:

Personally I don't let Exchange install the required parts, I go through the list on the above web page and then do the installation of Exchange only.
Simon.

I am using the 2003- 2008 - 2012 version posted above. I am working in a production environment and feel this is best and most seamless.
