Accidently deleted a gmail system label "inbox"
If you accidently delete the label called "inbox" in a gmail mail, it goes to archive. How can I reinstate that label when deleted by mistake?
send yourself an email, see where it goes

I know its still in the folder (actually in the archive) but I want the inbox label to be reinstated so that I dont need to go to "all mail" which is the archive.
What if you right click do you get the Option to Move\Reinstate under some specific folder if so you should so that

I'm confused by your comments. Right click where exactly to get these options? If I have remove "inbox" as a system label, such mails will then goto "All mails" which is the archive.
If several days later you want to then reinstate the default system label "inbox", I'm not sure where your suggestion comes in or how you do that? Could you be more specific in your steps...

What have you done to delete the inbox label? I do not see an option of how to do it.

Very simple. open any existing gmail email in the inbox. Where the label is marked "inbox" in grey next to the subject line, click the x on the word inbox.

Yes, that is certainly one way of moving them back and I just realised that before submitting the last comment. However, my question although not stated was more generic in the sense that if you delete a system label e.g. sent item, inbox or something else, is there a way to restore it. I was trying to replicate a deletion of a sent item but for some reason I cannot see the sent item label which I could previously, but cannot now.
