Upgrading Access DB from 2003 to 2007 that has Linked Tables

I have several Access DBs that we'd like to upgrade from the 2003 version to 2007.  However, the Access DBs are linked to other's DBs as a linked table.

Is there a way to convert these DBs without breaking the linked tables as the file format for Access 2003 is .mdb and for Access 2007 it is .accdb?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way of managing the change in version of Access.  We have situations for both solutions (Access DBs with no front-end/back-end components and neither).  Thanks for the assistance.
