Cisco Voice over ip .

Hello Experts,
Our main office is connected to Dubai via extension 716. I don't know how it is configured. We have cisco router 2610 , which is having 2 atm ports and four telephone lines are coming there. Two of them are for Dubai and Two of them are for Qatar. When we dial 716 it is going to Dubai and from that we can call to any of our colleagues. I have no idea about the cables directly coming to the router (four of them telephone cables) , from where they are coming ? Can it be coming from PBX ? Below is what I found from the cisco router
voice-port 1/0/0
 pre-dial-delay 0
description FXO CONNECTION TO KUWAIT PBX EXT 716
!
voice-port 1/0/1
description FXO CONNECTION TO KUWAIT PBX EXT 557
!
voice-port 1/1/0
 shutdown
description FXS CONNECTION DIR TO FAX EXT 101
!
voice-port 1/1/1
 shutdown
description FXS CONNECTION DIR TO PHONE EXT 102
!

Please help.
Regards

Most likely its coming from a PBX as an analog extension.

From the notes/descritption looks like the Kuwait PBX has two extensions 716 & 557 that connect to the Cisco router. If you look at the dial-peers those two should be forwarding over to your Dubai router.

Thanks for you answer,
One more question, is there in the cisco router any where mention the land line number of dubai. Means that if 716 is dialed, it will be equal to 00965xxxxxxx (which is the land line number of dubai office).
You'll need to look at the dial peers. If the one in Kuwait doesn't have it then the translation may be happening on the Dubai router.
Let me check the dubai router.
It could be connected to a analog line on the Dubai side, so it may be another extension out there from the PBX instead of the outside line
Sorry about the second comment. The extension for dubai is 00974 not 00965. 00965 is the country code for kuwait.

FXO is the connection that goes to an analog landline from the provider.

FXS is the connection that goes to a phone. You connect a phone or Station to this port.

FXO receives dial-tone. FXS generates dial-tone.

Best I can explain at the moment.
