Unable to convert Exch 2003 Server to Native mode

Hi,
I'm installing Exch 2010 on a 2008 Server in order to migrate from my current Exch 03 server running on Win2k3 but the Readiness Checks are failing on several counts, one of which is the fact that my existing Exch 03 Server is in mixed mode - I'm unable to change to Native mode (greyed out) and I'm assuming the problem is that a very old Exchange 5.5 server is still listed in ESM under Servers though it'd hasn't been present in the organisation for a number of years.  I tried to delete it using ADSIEDIT but it's still in ESM, any suggestions where else it might be lurking in ADSIEDIT or what else I need to do? Thanks.

OK so I've deleted the old 5.5 server from ESM using the suggestion from worm-getter (thanks) and also uninstalled ADC from the existing Win2K3 server but 'Change operation mode' to change from mixed to native is still greyed out, any other suggestions please?
Run EXBPA and also what rights does your account has ?
