Workgroup virtual machine time synchronization issue

Hi Guys,

I have a number of workgroup VMs which are constantly failing out of sync. Can anyone help on how these VMs should be configured to keep their time up-to-date?

When a VM start, hyper visor emulate a bios, with a time and date. This is taken from the current date & time of the hyper-visor. That's why they must on time, and especially on AD time, even if they are work group.

More than 5minutes difference will break kerberos by default.

Check for time on all hyper-visor and DC.

Thanks Guys, may sound like a strange question by can I workgroup server sync its time with a domain controller? We have a physical DC which everything points to, we only have a problem with these workgroup servers

You may use any NTP server
