Accessing Exchange Shared mailbox from iOS device
Is there an option to access shared mailbox from iOS device, either via OWA or via ActiveSync. Understand there are limitations to access shared mailbox via activeSync, but is there any work around available.
Attempted to access shared mailbox via owa from an iPad. User gets prompted to select/un-select: “Use the light version of Outlook Web App”. If the user , “un-select” this option, they are still defaults to “the light version of Outlook Web App”.
Do you know if the default is enforced by safari browser or exchange to use “light version of Outlook Web App” ?.
The reason not to use “Light version of Outlook Web App”, so users can see additional mailbox access via OWA. Accessing OWA from laptop provides the option to add additional mailbox , for example shared mailbox and them as well.
Would like to know if safari browser defaults to use the “light version of Outlook Web App”. See following link. Please advise

This is a shared mailbox, it doesn't have AD credentials to configure with EAS profile.
Looking for possible two solutions if available
1) OWA access via sarafi to access shared mailbox
2) Change shared mailbox to an active AD account , but can we create multiple ActiveSync EAS accounts on device, pointing to same Exchange server .

Look in a way if you have "Full Mailbox Access" to that Shared mailbox you should be able to open it with your credentials as well so why active it ?
I know how you can access a Shared mailbox view IE not sure about Safari .... so if you have the details for IE can you check with Safari browser ?

Thanks for the information, I had tried that option, it doesn't work, we have customized public facing owa URL, example as follows..
https://xxx.domain.com/+CSCOE+/logon.html,
If you know a syntax to append sharedmailbox SMTP address, that will be great.

Once you login to the above link, what appears on your URL?
Let me know.

The page displays corporate logo and option to enter login name , password and select domain and login button

So, in a normal version (not light) if you open a shared mailbox - what does it display in the URL?

Look ideally its like below but as you have modified .... simply open your OWA and then place the Email after the URL once your OWA is open and check
https://xxx.domain.com/owa/Sharedmailboxemailaddress

@Rancy: It won't work - they've possibly got TMG or ISA that redefines the URL

That is correct, we are using web proxy. The URL with /owa/shared mailbox works from internal network /corp wifi not from external. Thanks
@lbeach94: Try to check with your ISA Admin, on what can be done for /owa/emailaddress@domain.c om
