I am looking to use Microsoft Server 2012 Essentials for a client. &nbsp;Will be my first time using it. &nbsp;Since I am really just using it for file sharing, does anyone see an issue with using a souped up computer setup?<br />

With this configuration, if a hardware component was to fail, I figure I could swap it out quickly with a spare system.<br />

Wasn't sure of the need to use Raid, etc.<br />

Would a good built system, Quad Core Intel, etc, give me better performance than the HP Microserver's with the AMD Turion II Neo N40L 1.5GHz 2-Core?

Server 2012 Essentials on Built Hardware

Servers are computing devices that are similar to desktop computers in that they have the same basic components, but are significantly different in size, configuration and purpose. Servers are usually accessed over a network, and many run unattended, without a computer monitor, input device, audio hardware or USB interfaces. Many servers do not have a graphical user interface (GUI), and are configured and managed remotely.
