Well you could share free/busy easily using the commands given in the second link.<br />

For GAL Sharing, there isn't an easy way out - you'd need some tool to keep on updating the details across forest.<br />

More manual task is to create contacts for each user of the other forest in your forest, that ways people would see them in GAL - but again that's painstaking work.<br />
