ESXi Build 623860 : is it Patch/Update 1 or 2 and how to upgrade it
Q1:
Someone often use the term ESXi Patch 1 (or Patch 2).
I suppose he meant Update 1 (or Update 2), right?
Q2:
Is Build 623860 an Update 1 or Update 2 and is this
build referring to ESXi or to vCenter ?
Q3:
Any impact if I update from 1 to 2: any downtime to
ESXi host (or I can vMotion VMs in it to another host)
or downtime to vCenter only?
Q4:
Pls provide links/steps to update from Update 1 to 2
Q5:
I've recently applied an FC HBA driver into a customer's
ESXi 5.0 Update 2 (as EMC requested me to do it so that
it's supported for their VMAX SAN). If I upgrade from
this version to ESXi 5.1b, will the driver get overwritten?
Also provide steps on how to upgrade from this version
to ESXi 5.1b
