VEEAM Windows Installer error

Guys I'm trying to install VEEAM Backup & Recovery for VMs on a 2008 R2 box.  I'm getting an error after I start the program "Windows Installer"  Error opening installation log file.  Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

I'm installing from a mounted ISO.  I've cleaned the temp folder of any trace of the software.  I've also tried to use the Windows Installation Cleanup Tool and VEEAM was not found in the list of installed programs.

Thanks.

have you checked the installer log for details?

Sounds like you are having a problem with UAC. Try shutting it off before running the installer package or run the install package "as administrator"

I figured this resolution out prior to compdigit44 replying with his solution but am awarding the points regardless for offering the same solution.

I assumed there was an issue installing VEEAM from an ISO when I tried a completely different server to see the results.  Same results but it happened because after I ran the initial setup it wanted to run a Windows update for some framework.

After I extracted the ISO it ran fine despite the previous error.
