The link to Outlook Connector for Office 2010 is:
for 64bit version: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...b-5b36d80ec375
for 32bit version: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...5-f93e1377959f
You will only need to install the 64-bit version when you are using the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010. If you are using the 32-bit version of Outlook 2010 or a previous version of Outlook, then you’ll need the 32-bit version; even when you have installed Outlook on a 64-bit version of Windows.
First, uninstall the version you have - next, download from the link i provided - understand the version of OL you have 32/64 bit and then work accordingly.
This has hit me in the past so very well know how bugging this is.

Using the 64 bit connector should be no different than using the 32 bit connector. I assume you are using Outlook 64 bit.
I assume you know that Hotmail is being phased out. Outlook.com will take over.
