installing dynamic crm on windows server vs desktop (regular) windows

what are the benefits / risks in installing dynamic crm on windows 7,8 vs windows server 2008

Windows 7,8 is considered "consumer-class" software.  Server 2008 is geared for the enterprise.  Server is usually in a data center, Windows 7/8 is usually at desk.  Server 2008 is scalable, Windows 7/8 is not.  Windows 7/8, you can only have one connection at a time to it..  Server you can have many connections.  Windows 7/8 is not usually part of a backup or DR strategy, Server 2008 is.
