Forward email and change subject

I am using ifttt.com and Thunderbird as my email client. I can forward email to trigger@ifttt.com with the message rules in Thunderbird.

Is it possible to change or add to the subject to add hashtags that ifttt can use. So if I get an email from my boss, I want that email to have #Boss in the subject then the message is forwarded.

Thanks

No.  It doesn't seem like it.
You could however set up a whole domain for yourself.
For example I could setup      ed.example.com
Then you can use any email address to go to this domain (as long as you have it setup right to accept this).

So you would have seperate rules

If email is from 'boss@company.com' then forward to boss@ed.example.com
If email is from 'friend@gmail.com' then forward to friendxyz@ed.example.com

All of these emails would go into a single account (again you would have to set this up) but you could then process them on the 'to address'

ASKER

The whole point is to work with the ifttt service. So that way I can use my BLink(1) and have it turn purple from my boss and blue from my mom and such. So only thing that will work is hashtags in the subject. I already have multiple domains.
what about something like :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/edit-email-subject/?src=search

Or maybe you could do the forward (and edit) from the email server before it hits thunderbird
