"Downgrading" or "upgrading" from ios 6.1 to 6.1

Hi, a couple of months ago I jailbroke my iphone 4. Having installed loads of tweaks - some of the necessary, some of them of them not - my phone has started acting up. I would like to restore it to ios 6.1, the os currently installed on my phone, the re-jailbreak Is this possible, and how?

I fopund the following how-to somewhere:

1. Put the phone in restore mode.
2. connet it to itunes
3. Right-click (I am using windows) restore.,
4. point to the ipsw file downloaded from iclarify, suitable for my make of iphone.

This is as far, as I came before not daring to go any further. I have a feeling there is more to it....

I have also tried another method.

I have saved my "blobs" with an utility from cydia that allows me to mail the blobs to myself. My attempts to extract the blobs from the phone or from the cydia server with tinyumbrella has both failed.

With seasonpass i tried to stitch the blob with the downloaded ipsw file. It didn't work.

So basically I would like to know:

If it is possible to restore the phone to the version currently installed

and

which method I should pursue to accomplich it
