Windows Installer Issue

I woke up this morning and found that I had an error message in regard to my Quickbooks software running on Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3

According to Quickbooks support, the error indicated that I needed to "repair" Quickbooks.  When I ran the repair off the DVD, the Windows Installer continues to open a window and the install process is interrupted.

Here is the window that opens when install is attempted -

I have followed all of the instructions I found in the knowledge base - everything from re-registering to re-installing ... nothing is letting me re-install Quickbooks - I simply get the Windows Installer window.

If the MS FixIt tool doesn't work, Revo Uninstaller is an excellent utility to remove unwanted or incomplete installations. This should allow you to reinstall Quickbooks once completed.

The MS Fixit Tool - but the result was the same.

I don't understand how the Revo Uninstaller program can help ... I am trying to install, not uninstall ... what effect would that have on Windows Installer ... which seems to me to be the problem?

Doesn't anyone have anymore suggestions .... MS Fixit Tool did not find the answer.  Thanks
Art, did you try the Revo Uninstaller utility? If I understood your original post, your QB has an error that you are unable to recover from using the repair utility on the DVD. Reinstalling QB appears to be failing as well. Essentially, your PC is left with a corrupt instance of QB. Ensure you have a backup of your QB database. Your only options at this point are to forcefully uninstall (using a utility such as Revo), then attempt a clean reinstall of the program. You are fighting an installer issue. You have to remove QB completely, then reinstall. Otherwise, format your PC and reinstall Windows.
Here is where the misunderstanding is ... I have never installed QB on this machine or hard drive.  When I attempt to, the install process does not begin because of an error with Windows Installer, which ends with the presentation of a Windows Installer (what appears to me to be) Help window.  See Attached.

There is no trace of QB on the machine and never has been ...  I can't get to that stage before the interruption.

I have not tried Revo Uninstaller utility because there is nothing to uninstall. Thanks for picking the thread back up.
