McAfee Error - could not access the local server

We are running ePO 4.6 and in the process of upgrading our current McAfee 4.5 agents to 4.6 but also adding in new machines.

I've just set up a new Windows 7 64bit PC and deployed the 4.6 agent to it from ePO.

When the agent is deployed to this particular PC it comes up with an error - "Could not access the local server". This error also re-appears on startup. I've tried force removing the McAfee installation, rebooted and tried again but still the same.

The PC is a domain computer, the user account has full administrative access, UAC is disabled and domain firewall is turned off.

The PC appears to report back to the ePO server but the ePO server is not showing the complete product information that is on this system.

We have many other Windows 7 64bit machines on the network that are all working fine.

Any advice on why this is happening?

Removed the "DesktopProtection" registry entry (HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\McAfee\DesktopProtection) and rebooted, this got rid of the error message. Deployed VSE to the machine and it's now installed and reporting back to ePO correctly.
