Kaspersky Rescue Disk not mounting C: drive
I am booting from Kaspersky's Rescue Disk 10 to try and remove a worm/trojan/malware.
Everything seems fine when booting.. but it doesn't mount the C: drive so that it can be scanned.
I will eventually wipe these machines.. but need to by some time by cleaning them.
I have used many anti-malware programmes (malwarebytes, superantimalware, Symantec, NPE, Microsoft's own) booted into Safe mode, etc.. but the malware keeps returning.
The PCs are just Dell Vostros running XP..
What can I do to mount and scan the C: using Kaspersky's Rescue Disk 10..

The Kapersky Rescue Disk is a Linux Live CD. Β I have a variety of Linux CDs that I have used because none of them works on all hardware.
Have you tried UBCD4Win?

Apologies for the delay..
I ran Malwarebytes in Safe mode on the clients remotely.. giving me time to create a SARDU disk and disinfected the clients properly. A great bit of kit to fight already infected machines.. it also allowed Kaspersky Rescue Disk to run on the clients when an original Kasperky Rescue Disk couldn't see the drives..! Then used Sophos to disinfect the network share. Many, many thanks for the recommendations.
