Synology DS213+ with SBS 2008 for added file storage. Use iSCSI or not?

Just purchased a Synology DS213+ for a client that needs additional file storage. Been reading up on iSCSI (never used it before) and have read a wide variety of opinions as to whether it is better / faster / more complex etc.

Client is running SBS 2008 with one NIC. The DS213+ has (2) Western digital Red 3TB drives.

Is it better to just let the 213+ handle the formatting / sharing of files on the NAS? Or is it better to use iSCSI and let the SBS 2008 server just see it as another drive and then use SBS 2008 to setup shared folders / permissions?

If it matters, a lot of files that will be stored on the NAS will be very large (they do a lot of database work with MS Access). Files can sometimes be 5-15GB is size. But there will also be a lot of files in the 1 - 25MB range as well.

Please provide as much detail as possible as to why you would go one route or the other (pros and cons list would be nice) and if there is anything I need to consider when choosing (example: some say you should add a second NIC if using iSCSI, iSCSI is more complex to setup, etc.).
