Please note that in GIMP 2.8, '<b>Save as</b>' and '<b>Save</b>' are now only give <b>.xcf</b> files. To &nbsp;'<b>Save as</b>' ALL other file type, you should use '<b>Export</b>'...<br />

I need to submit my book cover as a PDF/X1a 2001 or PDF/X3 2002 with fonts embedded. &nbsp;<br />

Can anyone help me find the best free or cheap way to do this? &nbsp;We are running Ubuntu Linux. &nbsp;I've tried Ghostscript, but I'm having trouble getting it to work right.<br />
