Recording webex stream videos

Hi experts! I need to save a lot of stream video from webex that has no recording option available. There are alot of videos i need to download so its virtually impossible for me take screen capture solutions (camtasia, snagit, etc..)

I explain myself:

To recap, I too am trying to download a Webex stream recording so that it is on my hard drive and I can view it offline. During the stream, Webex creates a temp folder with .STD files, .DAT files, .IDX files, and a .WAV file. I copied this to my hard drive so that I can have it permanently even after I close the stream.

The .WAV file has the audio of the entire stream. It is predicted that the .DAT files (which are the largest) contain video information. Is there anyway to view or convert this video? Even if it is just the video itself without the audio synced that would be fine, because we can just put the video and audio in a video editor and export it out.

Since this is a Webex stream and it hasn't been converted to anything, I'm assuming it is still in the proprietary .WRF or .ARF video format that Webex uses. These files can be viewed with the Webex Player or Webex Recording editor. I tried to change the .DAT file extension to .WRF, but Webex Player still couldn't open it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you login to WebEx you can then download them
WebEx Recording Download
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpBSBxy2nuY

The .dat extension could be changed to .mpg
Try that and then play it in VLC
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/VLC-media-player

During streaming, WebEx will make a copy of the video/audio file in windows temp folder with extension .tmp<< not internet TEMP.
C:\Windows\Temp
if not viewable go to control panel all control panel items folder options and view>unhide the system folders
User generated image This file will be relatively big and will be the most recent file (name format ~WT381.tmp) created in this folder (arrange folder view by modification).
Once file has stop increasing in size, copy and paste file elsewhere then  accordingly changing file extension to .wrf
Note that this file will be deleted from Temp folder after WebEx Player is closed
( perhaps Due to windows settings or WebEx instruction??) So dont close your WebEx player until you have a copied it.
A little more on that here

Install Gspot and use it to test your video or audio and find out if you have codecs to play it
Establishes what video and audio codecs are required to play any video. Shows framerate, duration, aspect ratio, bitrates, structure info, and more.

There is also not free WM recorder

Hi Again!

First of all thanks for the answer but im still having this trouble, i tell you:

1.- Im not able to download the meeting because i didnt record it. As it is seen on the youtube video you post, as same as you download the video, you can SHARE that video, so the meetings i watch are shared (so without downloading options). I have only the link to play the meeting.

2.- I´ve checked the path "C:\Windows\Temp" during streaming but there is no copy of it (I have the option to show hidden files and also system files are viewable) but the phenomenon you described that the TMP file increase its size, happens in the path i described before C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\54096307 (the 8digit folder that contains the meeting audio separately from the video.

3.-I also checked the DAT file trying to change its file extension to MPG, MPEG, AVI, WRF, ARF,MOV without any kind of success.

4.-I used the program you suggested in order to get the codecs of the video and i got this information:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\\wbxcbr_62.109.202.136_834824856_62.109 .202.136_1314109613_4_117_1314109672.dat::Output

It appears not to be a valid Video format file, because of that i guess this special DAT contains more information that only video (the meeting webcam video, chat files, configurations, style templates, etc.)

The point is that i guess i have all the meeting (for example ARF file or WRF file) but separatelly and i dont know how tu merge,  compile, render, or unify theese 9 files in an ARF or WRF file which are playable with webex player.

Any idea? Suggestions??

Thank You!!!
I got news:

in this cisco official page, it seems that you can record chat files, notes (IDX files), so the theory that i have a "separate" ARF video get sense:

https://support.webex.com/support/documentation/help/index.htm#9445.htm

But im still dont know how to unify it!
