QuickBooks Aduit Log

We are using QuickBooks Enterprise.  Is there a way to find out using activity?  I know there are transaction reports.  We are wanting to see if we can find out who printed a certain Payroll report about a week ago.

Thanks

You should be able to go to Reports, Accountant & Taxes and click on Audit Trail. That brings up the Audit Trail report. It could be a huge report, so you need to customize and constrain it. One of the things you can do with it is relate users to transactions.

I don't think running a report creates any transactions.  No data is changed.
If all they did was run a report, then, yes, they may not have created any transactions.

The only persons who can access payroll are those (very few) users who have access to payroll and the administrator. This is a limited pool of people. Even if you knew when they logged on, you cannot tell what they did if they did not enter a transaction.

You might pore through the audit trail for the week in question to see if anything comes up for the people (QB users) who have access to payroll. Search for just them in that week and see what comes up.
