Exchange 2007 SCC SP3 Problem with Address Lists

Hello ,

I have an Exchange 2007 SCC SP3 installation and i have a problem with Offline Address books.

From outlook 2007 i see that the OAB is not sync with the latest changes . I have try manually from exchange to update the address book but i take errors from SCOM like

 " OALGen detected that the file '\\EXCHANGE2K7SCC\ExchangeOAB\84a6942e-c305-43a4-b476-0b6a5c78a785\12b4bd51-97af-4a65-ad10-a59234fb3fda-data-1.lzx' is corrupted or missing. This indicates data tampering or disk problems. Restore files in this folder from the recent backup or clean up folder content and force a full OAB generation."

I have try and delete all the items in the OAB folder in program files and then recreate them . Also i delete the oab file in outlook and then re-sync it. But problem still exists.

Any ideas ?

You need to do the clean up on the Exchange server itself. Find the OAB files (probably in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ExchangeOAB or something like that). Remove them all.

Then in EMS run this:

get-offlineaddressbook | update-offlineaddressbook

That will force a complete regeneration of the OAB. Wait about 30 minutes before trying again.
