KMS host key

It has been awhile since I set up the KMS server and I am reinstalling it on a server 2012 VM and I can not remember where to get my KMS Host key. I have all my KMS Client keys, but not the host one. Is it just my normal activation key?

With Hyper-V the "host" OS is really just another client OS with direct access to the hypervisor's API's. So when it comes to KMS, the same KMS server will activate the parent (as apposed to the "host" terminology") and hosted OSes. All that matters at that point is that you have a valid OS license so you aren't abusing the KMS server. As always, one should be legal. There are ethical, legal, and technical reasons for this.

Thank you for the info, I have moved it over and I am going to shut off the old one. Is there any special thing I need to do this or do I need to just remove it from the domain and take it off line?
