SBS2011 Connect To Internet Wizard fails

I am configuring the server for Iphone/Mobile Device access thru the Exchange server.

I was in the process of installing a certificate for remote.domainname.com and the cert failed to install. I went to check the Connect To Internet Wizard, and it sees the router and static IP for the server, but shortly after that step, it fails to configure the internet for me.

Of course all the other wizards will not run without the CTIW running first. I also tried the Fix My Network wizard, and it goes to a point, and then tells me another program has stopped it from running, and it blows out.

I don't know if these wizards have been unable to run or not lately. They were running fine in Dec 2012, as we changed over from ISP to another ISP. This server has been in place for a while now and is performing fine running AD, DHCP, Exchange, and other server functions.

How many interfaces do you have active?
Please disable all but one. Ideally in the bios.
Also do the following:
1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
2.At a command prompt, type the following command , and then press ENTER:
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
3.Type the following command a command prompt, and then press ENTER:
start devmgmt.msc
In menu : Show all devices
Uninstall all greyed out Network adapters.

Restart the server. Try Internet wizard again.

Olaf,

Ran both commands, there is only 1 adapter present. Ran the command in #2 above, nothing came back, #3 is not applicable, I only have the one adapter live. Going to reboot shortly.

I had to call MS and they said the CTIW only completes normally under a DEFAULT receive connector. If you have more than one, or you modify the connector, it won'y work
