transactional emails:

not supported by mailchimp, constant contact
and do not wish to use a new solution recommended by mailchimp

I have a flag that gets added to the mysql table row for that email if error
 $mail->Send();

  echo "Mail was sent.</p>\n";
  $email_wait=0;
} catch (phpmailerException $e) {
  echo $e->errorMessage(); //Pretty error messages from PHPMailer
  $email_wait=2;
} catch (Exception $e) {
  echo $e->getMessage(); //Boring error messages from anything else!
  $email_wait=3;
}

Open in new window

but I am only seeing $email_wati=0 or $email_wait=2 (sent or undescribed error)

this error
SMTP -> ERROR: DATA command not accepted from server: 550 5.4.5 Daily sending quota exceeded. jw8sm11677773obb.14 - gsmtp
SMTP Error: Data not accepted.

is gmail is blocking the email because of daily sending limit

what if the error is email address does not exist
and then my mysql while loop will keep on trying to send that one email

Yes, if I remember the limit is 2000 per day.

Your code would not know if the email address doesn't exist so there is not reason why it would be looping trying to send the same email.
