Exchange 2010 SP2 Rollup6 broke the management tools?

Installed rollup6 for sp2 on Sunday, rebooted server afterwards and now this morning trying to run updatecas.ps1 within the EMS on the server itself results in:

Now before someone asks.. Yes the Management tools are installed, i actually reran the setup to make sure the checkmark was in the box for them.. it was.  And teh Event Viewer shows nothing related to this.. only the OWA errors that I'm trying to resolve with the UpdateCAS script.  Now initially EMS would'nt open up correctly, complaining about missing the RemoteExchange script, I copied the one from my second server to get it working correctly.

No I guess I fixed my issue by adding modify permissions to that logs folder for my domain admin account,  then manually copying those files that are normally moved via UpdateCAS.ps1.

I think i partially fixed this.. number 1 for some reason the same user account I've used to install, and maintain exchange for two years lost write perms to the Exchangesetuplogs folder, so I added that.  Then the updatecas script ran but errored on copying the Current folder contents to 12.2.342.3 folder.  I manually copied those and at least resolved my OWA issue.

Rerun the rollup as Administrator.  That should resolve any remaining issues.

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

I login to this box with an account that's both local and exchange org admin, if that makes any difference.  The same account I have used for the other rollups including SP2.

Is the account also Domain Admin?

Ben HartAuthor Commented:
Actually yes it was also a domain admin.  I did resolve the issue via the above post, but I was hoping I could figure out why it happened.

Rick HobbsRETIREDCommented:
So what you did completely resolved the issues or re-running SP2 resolved the issues?

Ben HartAuthor Commented:
Manually copying the files moved by UpdateCAS.ps1 is what resolved the issue.
