Have you tried just the regular asp fileupload control?

FileUpload1.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("~/Files/" & filename).ToString)

This object is different from file upload control ajax control toolkit, correct? I want to use without it.

I do not have ajax installed on the solution I provided the snippet from.., so yes.
If you look, under the standard toolbox, you should see it listed.  Fileupload control.
