Widening labels under an icon in Visio

I am trying to add a label to an icon (see the attached pic).  But I see no way to widen the left/right boundary of the label.  So the text winds up wrapping in a way not desired.  Is there a property or other somewhere I can adjust so the labels are wider without making the icon itself bigger??

Unless it's been locked by the shape designer, you should be able to adjust the text block size. Select the Text Block tool (it's the one that's selected in this screen of the Tools group on the Home tab)text block tool and then click the shape on the drawing page. What you'll see selected is the text block for the shape rather than the shape itself. At this point, you should be able to drag the resize handles for the text block to accomplish what you'd like.

If this doesn't work it means that resize of the text block has been locked. Even if that's the case, we may still be able to get where you want to go...
