menu hidden behind page content - ipad only

i've been looking at another sites naviagtion menu and would like to use something similar for my site. Its a responsive menu so collapses when viewed on narrow screens.

It looks great but i've noticed that the menu goes behind the page content on certain screens when viewed on an ipad. It does not do this on the desktop broswer (chrome, explorer, firefox).

I suppose only experts with an ipad will be able to validate this! on these pages the menu is hidden (when tapping 'blog' or 'about':

http://sheepy.me/blog
http://sheepy.me/bretons-guide-to-life

however on other pages is fine:
http://sheepy.me/advertise
http://sheepy.me/

does anyone know what could be causing this. the fact that it works ok on a desktop would suggest that it cant be an issue with the z-index?

thanks

There should be a code that changes the menu to display: hidden when the window is too small

If it was an issue with the screen size i would be able to replicate this on a desktop pc when rezising the broswer window. i can only replaicate this on an ipad.

The cause is the jquery
? the query librabry or the custom code? some more explanation would be appreaciated.
