How to place a background image relative?

Dear Experts,

I'm currently updating some websites, one of them has a special issue:

A picture that is defined as background is clipping with some other elements. Also the content on this page is automatically generated.

This problem would be solved if it was possible to set the picture position at
right bottom but with bottom=bottom-10px

Is this possible to define something like this?

You can't o that with just background-position, but there are lots of ways to achieve the result you are looking for. If you provide a link to your page someone will be able to find a solution for you.

The problem picture is the one right bottom. Currently I use the "background position" attribute to position the picture. However if the user clicks on the 2nd etc page the picture will wander up...

We use Joomla! for our website.

the other way is to change the markup so the footer is outside and under the image container:
User generated image
Dang so easy that it never crossed my mind!
