I have looked into this, and it looks very complicated. I need to layout wiring for small building projects in Visio 2013. To help me estimate cost and time, I layout wire connections between points on a diagram, say between a wiring closet and a telephone jack on the other side of the building.<br />

I need to be able to have an automatic routable connector or wire stencil that displays the connection's length as text above the line, and automatically updates the length displayed when the connector is modified, lengthened, shortened.<br />

I need concrete instructions on how to do this (I think a stencil with this functionality will do)
