Exchange 2013 users cannot login with email but can domain\username
Hey Experts,
I cant seem to find the reason for it but i have a exchange 2013 server up and running. Users cannot seem to loing with there email address user@domain.com but they can login with domain\username just fine.
Does anyone know why this would be or what i can check to try to resolve this? Outlook defaults to the email address for login which causes a lot of questions to be directed at me.
This is Exchange 2013U1 running on Server 2012.
Clients are using Outlook 2010 and 2013

It's pretty much a user by user thing. You could probably script it if you'd like :)

1) domina\username
2) username
3)email address (based of userPrincipalName)
Now in our case we can actually just use username and that is going to work just fine. But i did test with using email address. I looked up the userPrincipalName for some users withing our domain and they all are usernam@domain.local non of them our our email domain. Do i have to go through each user and add that to them or does the KB you posted for adding the domain.com as a kind of sub option?
