error sending out email from using Alias
I setup a user to send an email using her alias email, and it works fine internally, but when I try a test to send an email externally, I get this error message:
Server error: '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay'
Any ideas how to fix this?

No, it's not the primary. The primary is user@domain.com

I'm sure there's a setting somewhere on my exchange server that doesn't allow pop3 emails to relay, it's just strange, I thought it would be built in.
Ideally one can only send emails with Primary email of its own or anothers to send emails .... but receive on any that are assigned to him

Well, then how come I send emails from the alias, but only internally, in my organization.
For example:
primary account is: dan@domain.com
alias email is: danalias@domain.com
So internally I can send emails as danalias@domain.com, but I can't send them externally.
Now sure how to fix that.

I am damn sure one cannot send from secondary email until someone has played around in ADSIEDIT or some other tool to try and make 2 Primary emails that way

Well, I haven't done anything with ADSIEDIT.
I can send emails internally, my domain with the alias email, just not externally, so there has to be some exchange GURU's out there that would know the answer?????
Hopefully :)

I'm a little lost from your post. I'm not sure what you are trying to say?
I am saying you have to have any other Mailbox with that secondary email your trying to use emails from to External users

Thanks, I just created a new account, and gave the user full access to that account, and that works fine. Perhaps exchange doesn't have the option to allow to send emails using an alias email address.

Thanks for the assistance!
