The raw syslog data in the RAWSYSLOGDB databases and in the [ViewPoint]\syslogs\archivedSyslogs folder will be deleted daily at the time specified at Console > Reports > Summarizer - ‘Delete Syslog Daily At’.  However, the space in the database is not reclaimed, so the following SQL must be run to remove white space and truncate the transaction log before the file size will more accurately reflect the amount of space used in the database:

(execute these statements one-by-one from a command prompt on the ViewPoint server)

osql -U sa -P password -S IPaddress\SNWL -Q "use rawsyslogdb; DUMP TRAN rawsyslogdb WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY;”
osql -U sa -P password -S IPaddress \SNWL -Q "use rawsyslogdb; DBCC SHRINKFILE (rawsyslogdb _Log, 10);"
osql -U sa -P password -S IPaddress \SNWL -Q "use rawsyslogdb; DBCC SHRINKDATABASE (rawsyslogdb, 0);”

Replace password with the password used during installation, and replace IPaddress with the IP of the ViewPoint server.
Replace ‘rawsyslogdb’ with ‘sgmsdb’ in the OSQL above to shrink the SGMSDB database and truncate the transaction log.

above commands not accepting after login on mysql
kindly suggest.
